Abstract

The gamified application emerged in the context of Project Based Learning (PBL) in the second semester of the Master in Multimedia Communication. At the time, the work was in partnership with Creative Science Park (PCI) and had the need to be interconnected with the world of games. This last part was more related to what was being taught in the UCs of the second semester.

To answer this challenge, and taking into account the needs of the final client (the PCI), it was decided to create an application that would present itself as a virtual guide to the PCI spaces, more specifically the Design Factory (DFA). This way, the application would take users to the place so they could learn to interact with the machines in virtual reality and conquer levels and medals.

In addition to this aspect, there was one more linked to the environment, since the machines chosen serve to recycle and give a new life to plastic. Finally, to develop this application, Unity was used to build the interface and C# along with Firebase for the backend of the project.
